ED: And let’s hope it stays a concept.

The Nissan Mixim

The Nissan Maxim is a full electric vehicle with a 1+2 seating setup, ‘unique’ styling and is crammed with computing hardware, internet access and all manner of gadgetry, probably aimed at those of the “geek” culture. The car has two electric motors in each axle, and runs with a compact lithium-ion battery pack.

I say blame Renault. Electric just got uglier.

With shiny dinner plates for wheels and an over-sized Nissan badge, it looks like a Honda Insight mashed into the new GTR’s roofline, with an almost Micra-esque front, which then had an illegitimate relationship with the Toyota Sera to get the front flipping near body length gullwings.

The triangular vents on the side just heighten the hideousness of this 80’s Starglider inspired abortion, and that middle seat arrangement looks like Darth Vader’s egg met with the cheap seat department of IKEA in a horrendous accident — and I can’t imagine Darth driving that. Does Nissan want to dissuade people from buying electric?
