Whew. That’s a lot of Camry’s.

Jokes aside, Toyota expects growth in China and even the US to be significant much to the ire of now second biggest carmaker, General Motors. It’s a significant increase from the 9.74 million unit target expected this year.

As expected, demand for fuel efficient and environmentally friendly cars, such as the Yaris, Prius and the like has never been higher and Toyota expects this to account for the increase in production. With a rumored new small car to be produced in India based on the Yaris, the increase should come as no surprise, and depending on the local Indian market, Toyota may produce more than it’s 10.4 million unit target.
