I’m not sure if this is exactly what the 08 Impreza will look like come Octo­ber, in inter­na­tional, JDM, ADM or USDM guise, but it’s nice to be given an idea of the inte­rior fit and fin­ish, which already looks bet­ter than the out­go­ing model. We have our reser­va­tions over the clear rear tail lights, and the loss of the iconic sedan, but hear­ing about a 10% increase in fuel econ­omy is always good.

We’re not sure if this is an inten­tional leak, but it seems a short com­mer­cial of the new 08 WRX has hit Youtube, which is a tried and true way of gen­er­at­ing inter­est and traf­fic in anyone’s book.

It can be seen below in all it’s com­puter gen­er­ated glory. Note the absence of the “pig-​​nose”, equally loathed and loved by WRX fans glob­ally. Per­son­ally I think the “pig-​​nose” worked bet­ter on some mod­els than oth­ers, though the best look­ing WRX to date is arguably the 1994–2000 con­fig­u­ra­tion which was sim­pler. Also, the car is clearly a hatch, not a sedan.Interestingly, if you take a look at the new EVO; there’s a hint of a pig-​​nose in the front, along with the more aggres­sive rally styling.
